Jeff Oster - TRUE

Jeff_Oster_True.jpg

Produced by Grammy Award winner Will Ackerman
Mixed by the legendary engineer Bruce Swedien (Michael Jackson,
Count Basie, Duke Ellington), Grammy Award winner Corin Nelsen at Imaginary Road Studios and Bryan Carrigan (Alanis Morrisette, No Doubt)
Mastered by Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering)

Chosen as a Top 25 CD for 2007 by both Echoes’ Listeners and Producers. WINNER - 2008 Independent Music Award - Best New Age Song ( Saturn Calling) On “True”, Oster’s flugelhorn and trumpet expands and goes beyond the themes of “Released”. Once again produced by guitarist and Windham Hill founder, Will Ackerman, “True” maintains many of the characteristics of  “Released” with sophisticated electronic looping, harmonized and multi-tracked flugelhorn lines and textured, ambient arrangements.

With its illusory edges and blurring of electric and acoustic textures provided by sound designer Brian Carrigan, “True” is deftly sequenced. It accommodates dark film noir moods on "This Place" along with the jubilant, uplifting "Mumbai”, a triumphant ode with a surging drum loop, Melissa R. Kaplan's wailing wordless vocals and Oster's clarion flugelhorn cries sounding the charge.

There have been a million recordings of horn players, some of them utterly brilliant, but in all these recordings there has never been anyone who incorporates so many influences or blurs genres or traditions as gracefully as Jeff Oster does. The elements are familiar, but the synthesis is unique. This is a milestone recording”.
Will Ackerman (Founder Windham Hill Records)

Oster has an incredible talent for writing lush, visual music..

Kori Linae Carothers -Trillium

Kori_Linae_Trillium.jpg Produced by Grammy Award winner Will Ackerman
Engineer, Mixing & Mastering by Grammy Award winner Corin
Nelsen at Imaginary Road Studios

Kori's ‘Trillium’ project is a brilliant coalescence of acoustic and electronic music that carries the listener through an array of cinematic imageries to pure dancing in the aisles”.
Corin Nelsen - Imaginary Road Studio, Windham Hill

There are many stunning moments on this fantastic multi-instrumental CD. Kori has a gentle, yet strident, piano style... in other words, her music doesn't invade you with overbearing penetration... rather it's like she's breathing through her fingers for you”.
Dick Metcalf - September 2009

Kori Carothers is, without question a brilliant pianist and composer. What sets her apart, however, is the broad range of styles she utilizes so gracefully. Kori moves between the worlds of achingly beautiful acoustic piano composition and lavish keyboard production with remarkable ease. The result ‘Trillium’ a cohesive collection of compositions of stunning breadth and dynamic range, confidently held together by her singular musical voice”.
Will Ackerman - Founder of Windham Hill Records.
